Sidekick Suki dressed up for Easter

Easter is a fun time of the year. Spring is in the air, the tulips are merging their little heads from the soil and we know that summer is just around the corner. One of my family’s favorite treats comes right around Easter. It is the Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg. Well, I have found my own version of the Reese’s egg and my family thinks it is actually even better. Try this recipe for your family this holiday and for every other holiday too.

Peanut Butter Easter Eggs

4 cups powdered sugar

2 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter

1 square butter

3 cups rice crispies cereal

1 large (1 1/2 pound chocolate bar

Cream together powdered sugar, butter and peanut butter. Add rice crispies cereal. when well mixed form into small egg shapes. Melt chocolate over double boiler. Cover egg shapes in chocolate and place on waxed paper. Cool until chocolate is set.

You can also form peanut butter mixture into small balls for any other occasion. Have a great holiday.
